The 25 Goldback Fortitudine is the third and final virtue in the Nevada series and contains 25/1000th oz of 24K gold. This design illustrates the theme “Fortitude brings Victory over Vice” through classical and natural symbolism.

Fortitudine (Fortitude) is depicted as a winged figure inspired by Nike and the triumphant angels from Caesar’s Palace, blowing the first trumpet of Triumph. She wears a laurel wreath for glory and holds a palm leaf for triumph. The scene shows a bobcat pouncing on a “land crocodile” tortoise, representing victory over vice.

The backdrop is Red Rock Canyon during a rare super bloom with desert pillars rising from the flowering landscape to represent Nevada’s strength.
